Golden Baklava Film Academy IV Intercollegiate Film Festival, organized by Hasan Kalyoncu University, was realized at a magnificent night. Awards were given to their winners at the premier night highlighted with famous jury names.

Premier night and award ceremony started with presentation of famous news anchor Buse Biçer and Quartet Concert.

FAMOUS JURY NAMES HIGHLIGHTED THE NIGHT

In the Golden Baklava Film Festival, 8 films in “Fiction” and “Documentary” categories were awarded. Famous jury names highlighted the night on which the fourth golden baklava film festival took place and awards were given after becoming a custom in Gaziantep by HKU. Chairwoman of the jury was the legendary actress of Turkish Cinema Nebahat Çehre. And the jury members were master photographer and documentary producer Coşkun Aral, young actress who is followed by her loving fans in Turkey, Ekin Türkmen; famous singer and actor Keremcem and Prof. Dr. Rengin Küçükerdoğan who is the Assistant Dean of HKU Faculty of Communication.

THEY COMMUNICATED CINEMA

Bosnian actor Reshad Strik chatted with students after the short film ‘’Ludwig vonSarajevo’’ was shown on the first day of the festival that brought film and movie-lovers together with its two days lasting program. And the other name, who chatted and interviewed on the first day was journalist writer Coşkun Aral. Colors of Islam documentary which was made and / or produced by Aral was liked by students.

PLEASANT INTERVIEWS BY FAMOUS NAMES

Jury names such as Nebahat Çehre and Keremcem had pleasant conversations with students who were entertained by before the night of premier. Stars, who answered the questions asked by the students, both enjoyed and entertained them. Jury members who had joyous moments in between questions of students made important recommendations to young movie lovers. İsmail Güneş and Ömür Gedik were among the names who had conversations and interviews with on the second day of the festival.

THE BEST FICTION FILM: ‘’OYUNCAK BEBEK’’ (DOLL)

While the director of “Oyuncak Bebek” (the Doll) film (Gaziantep University) Serfal Altun received the 1st best film award in fiction category, the 2nd best fiction film award went to the director of the film “Sonsuz” (Infinite) (Yeditepe University) Murat Çetinkaya and the 3rd best fiction film award went to the film of “Yıkık Kentler Senfonisi” (Ruined Cities Symphony) directed by Kerem Sürmeli of (Çukurova University). The winner of the award which went to the film of honorable mention in Fiction category called was “Rüzgar Bizi Götürecek” (the wind is going to take us) (Kültür University) directed by Kerem Yükseloğlu.

THE BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM: ‘’UZAK’’ (FAR)

The Best film award went to the film called “Uzak” (Far) in documentary category directed by Begim Joldubai of (Manas University) and the 2nd best documentary film award went to the film named “Sen Adam Mısın?” (Are you a man?) Directed both by Alihan Erbaş and Harun Köybaşı of (Kastamonu Üniversitesi) and the 3rd best film award went to the film called “Saklı Cennet” (Secret Heaven) of (Ege University) directed by Çağatay Çelikbaş. Honorable mention award in documentary category went to the film called “Lale Sineması” (Lale Cinema) of (Akdeniz University) directed by Meral Özdemir.

SPECIAL HASAN KALYONCU AWARD TO ERCİYES UNIVERSITY

In Golden Baklava Film Festival a Special Hasan Kalyoncu Award was given for the first time this year. “Rötar” (Delay) film of Osman Çakır for Erciyes University earned the right to receive the award given in remembrance of Founder Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hasan Kalyoncu University.
Baklava which is a Gaziantep brand became an important art and culture brand with 4th Golden Baklava Film Awards of HKU. The Festival, which is being planned to be realized every year and already realized for the fourth time this year, drew big interest and attention this year. Members of the jury received their presents while the Golden Baklava Film Festival was being carried out with big interest and attention. Jury Chairwoman, Nebahat Çehre, received her present from HKU Vice President of the Board of Trustees, Haluk Kalyoncu. 4th Golden Baklava Film Festival, which hosted yet another magnificent premier night, ended after all of the participators posed for a photograph.
