“Golden Baklava Film Academy International Student Film Festival” is an international culture and art activity organized by Gaziantep Hasan Kalyoncu University. The festival aims to reward short fiction and documentary films shot by university students. Herewith, it aims to promote university students to produce new movies, to attract the interest of film lovers, to make a contribution to the cinema sector, to ensure the recognition of cinema outputs and producers on national and international platforms.

“Golden Baklava Film Academy International Student Film Festival” will gain an international qualification with accepting films produced both in inside and outside of Turkey. The festival will contribute to the artistic environment of our country together with Gaziantep.

The festival will provide an opportunity for university students which are interested in cinema. It will also provide an opportunity to meet with jury members which consists of leading directors, producers, and actors/actresses.

PREMIERE NIGHT AND AWARD CEREMONY

Films, which succeed in their categories as result of competition, receive their achievement awards on the premiere night. The top three films ranking the highest in “Documentary and Fiction” categories on the other hand are presented with their awards.

CATEGORIES

Film producers / filmmakers who are going to compete in Golden Baklava Film Academy International Student Film Festival will be able to apply over two main categories: Fiction and Documentary.

PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT
APPLICATION FORMAT

It is required from participants to fill out the application form located at the address of goldenbaklava.hku.edu.tr and send required documents and films by way of wetransfer to the address of muzaffer.yilmaz@hku.edu.tr or altinbaklava@hku.edu.tr. Films must be in the format of H.S264 or mov.

Following topics must be among the documents to be forwarded online; film poster, film identity disc, a synopsis of film which should not exceed two hundred words, biography of the director, student certificate of the director, at least two shooting photographs or shooting image of two minutes at the most.

Participations made with missing documents are going to be eliminated by the initial jury.
