III. GOLDEN BAKLAVA FILM FESTIVAL
3rd Golden Baklava Film Festival on the other hand became stage to colorful images. Films prepared in “Fiction” and “Documentary” categories by university students participating with 286 films in Turkey were evaluated one by one by the jury. Chairwoman of Jury was Legendary Actress of Turkish Cinema Hülya Koçyiğit and the jury members of the jury were made of following two men the leading actor of the series called ‘Diriliş Ertuğrul’ which is being fondly watched recently, Engin Altan Düzyatan, and Ömer Faruk Sorak the director of many films such as Vizontele, Gora, Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever. The films ranking the best three from both categories were awarded by the jury at the festival.
7 Films were awarded
In the 3rd Golden Baklava Film Festival in which 286 films prepared by university students competed, 6 fiction and 7 documentary films among 13 semi-finalists were evaluated by the jury. 4 fiction and 3 documentary films out of the 13 semi-finalists evaluated earned the right to enter the finals. Total of 7 films; 4 fictions and 3 documentaries, were awarded on the evening where films of two categories competed.
IN FICTION CATEGORY
The Best Fiction Film award went to the film called “KUYU” (THE WELL”) directed by Rıdvan Yavuz.
The 2nd Best Fiction Film award went to the film called “BEYOĞLU SİNEMASI” (BEYOĞLU CINEMA) directed by Ömer Faruk Özmen.
The 3rd Best Fiction Film award went to two films and the award was shared by two directors; director of “BİRİNCİ TEKİL ŞAHIS” (FIRST-PERSON SINGULAR) and director of “ASFALT” (ASPHALT) Süleyman Demirel.
IN DOCUMENTARY CATEGORY
The Best Documentary Film award went to the film called “GÖZYAŞI YOLU” (TEAR ROUTE) directed by Engin Türkyılmaz.
The 2nd Best Documentary Film award went to the film called “NATAMAM” (INCOMPLETE) directed by Özlem Şahin.
The 3rd Best Documentary Film award went to the film called “İPEĞİN 4300 TELİ” (4300 STRINGS OF SILK) directed by Celal Karasakal.
