II. GOLDEN BAKLAVA FILM FESTIVAL
2nd Golden Baklava Film Festival entertained famous names; each one more famous than the other. In this film academy Prof. Dr. Edibe Sözen, Assistant Chancellor of HKU and Dean of Communication School Chaired the Jury and Actor Hüseyin Avni Danyal, Director of Cinematography Aytekin Çakmakçı, Documentary Film Director and Cinema Writer Prof. Dr. Dilek Takımcı, Director Ertuğrul Karslıoğlu and General Publication Director of NationalGeographics were awarded.
8 fiction and 8 documentary films totaling up to 16 film finalists were evaluated by the jury. And 8 films were awarded on the night that films competed in two categories.
IN DOCUMENTARY CATEGORY
The Best Documentary Film Award went to the film called “KAR TUTAN ÇOCUKLAR” (SNOW HOLDING CHILDREN) directed by Mustafa Koçoğlu.
The 2nd Best Documentary Film Award went to the film called “VEFA” (LOYALTY) directed by Baran Vardar.
The 3rd Best Documentary Film Award went to the film called “KUŞ SARAYLARI” (BIRD PALACES) directed by Bedirhan Dökmenoğlu.
The Honorable Mention Award on the other hand went to the film called “ALI ÇAVUŞ” (Sergeant Ali) directed by Koray Söğüt Bakırcı.
IN FICTION CATEGORY
The Best Fiction Film Award went to the film called “GÜL ALİ” (ALİ) directed by Gökhan Altuntaş.
The 2nd Best Fiction Film Award went to the film called “HASAT ZAMANI” (HARVEST SEASON) directed by Turan Haste.
The 3rd Best Fiction Film Award went to the film called “ADEM BAŞARAN” (ADEM BAŞARAN) directed by Orhan İnce.
The Honorable Mention Award on the other hand went to the film called “BAB-I DEM” (BAB-I DEM) directed and produced by Enes Polat.
